Do you remember last week's Throwback Thursday? Thanks to Kenneth Crookston, editor of British Bandsman magazine, for helping to fill in some of the blanks about the picture of Tullis Russell Mills Band, below.
He comented: "I think that is the Uniform and Equipment Co Shield, which they presented to the winner of the dress and deportment at the Scottish Championships. There is a picture of Whitburn with it in 1968, the first time the band won the Scottish. That pic of Tullis must have been 1952/3."
