Co-op set for Larbert concert

Co-operative Funeralcare Band is to perform in Larbert.
THE Co-operative Funeralcare Band is adding the final touches to its programme ahead of a concert in Larbert.
Held on Saturday, April 9, at the East Parish Church, the event will feature a programme entitled Brass Through the Ages. The concert will take the listener on a journey from the early days of brass onwards, featuring music from the likes of Henry VIII, Wagner and Holst through to John Williams.
Proceedings get underway at 7.30pm. Tickets can be bought at the door, costing £8 for adults and £6 for concessions. Anyone looking to book tickets can call Chris Hamilton on 07857559846. Refreshments are available.
Known affectionately as The Co, the band was formed in 1918 by workers of the CWS factories in Shieldhall, Glasgow, and has recently been crowned Scottish champion for the 33rd time.
