Northern Counties line-up announced

The Northern Counties contest will be held at Loch Leven Community Campus in Kinross.

THE draw has been announced for the 2016 Northern Counties Brass Band Association open contest.

Eight bands from across Scotland will be going head to head on Saturday, May 28, at Loch Leven Community Campus in Kinross.

Each band will be hoping to impress adjudicators John Boax and David Frame with their 20-minute entertainment programmes and, with prizes on offer for best band in each section as well as awards for best percussion, best soloist and most entertaining programme, there should be plenty to play for across the board.

Spectator admission is priced at £5 (£3 for concessions), with doors opening at 11.30am and the first band taking the stage at noon.
