Mactaggart Scott looking to complete line-up

Mactaggart Scott Loanhead Band is looking to fill its remaining vacancies.

THE Mactaggart Scott Loanhead Band is on the lookout for players to complete its line-up ahead of a busy schedule of events.

Spaces exist for tenor and bass trombone, Bb bass and back row cornet players with the third section band, which rehearses on Monday evenings in the Mactaggart Scott factory, Loanhead, under the baton of Musical Director Kenny Letham. 

The organisation enjoys a vibrant youth policy which has seen 14 of the present senior band members develop with its youth bands, led by Alan Fernie. Upcoming engagements include the Borders Contest and the Band Supplies Scottish Challenge.
