Results: 2016 Scottish Open

THE Whitburn Band has celebrated after it retained its title at the 2016 Scottish Open.

Conducted by Professor Nicholas Childs, the West Lothian band triumphed with its choice of Journey of the Lone Wolf, by Simon Dobson. Dalmellington Band's performance of Time Machine, by Thomas Doss, saw it come in second ahead of Rainford Band in third place.

Adjudicators Sandy Smith and Russell Gray praised the bands for their performances at the event, which took place in Perth Concert Hall on November 26.
