Richard Marshall in free workshop

Richard Marshall is leading a free workshop in Whitburn.

ONE of the finest talents in the brass band movement is to visit West Lothian to deliver a free workshop.

Richard Marshall, principal cornet of Black Dyke Band, will lead the session in Whitburn Band Hall, Murraysgate Industrial Estate, on Saturday, February 18, from 9.30am.

Everyone is welcome to the event, which is being organised by the East of Scotland Brass Band Association with support from Whitburn Band, Band Supplies and Besson.

The previous evening, Besson Artist Richard will feature as guest soloist in a concert with Whitburn Band, conducted by Professor Nicholas Childs.

Held in the Howden Park Centre, the event begins at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £8 or £6 for concessions and are on sale from the Howden Park Centre website.
