Fun and frolics in Dumfries performance of Amarillo

Members of Dumfries Town Band have dipped their toe into virtual banding – with a really impressive video which not only features the players but also some stunning views of their home town.

What the band lack in numbers, they make up for in fun and enthusiasm as they perform (Is This the Way to) Amarillo.

The video was the brainchild of euphonium players Paul Rafferty and Jordan Tweedie. It was Paul’s brother-in-law Graham Silk who applied his technical wizardry in putting the whole thing together.

While planning and executing the online recording has kept band members engaged with one another during the Coronavirus lockdown, they can’t wait for the time they can get back to being a ‘live’ band again.
