Advent Calendar of Carols: Newland Concert quartet – Once in Royal David’s City

Four socially distanced players from Newland Concert Brass, representing two separate households, recorded a few carols outside the Jak’s Den headquarters in Livingston.

This performance of Once in Royal David’s City by twin sisters Karen and Jennifer, Aileen and her daughter Lauren is in support of the drop-in centre which offers emotional, social and practical support to children and young people from all over Scotland who are suffering from cancer and related illnesses.

For the past three years, Newland Concert Brass have taken part in the Team Jak carol concert in West Kirk in West Calder. This year’s service will be online due to the current restrictions and Newland will once again feature on Sunday 20 December at 6pm.
