Advent Calendar of Carols: Galashiels Town Band – Winter Wonderland

Like many other bands, Galashiels have adapted much of what it does into online recordings. And as the town’s band, it has been particularly important to continue engaging with the community.

Back in the summer, the players recorded and put out on social media all the essential music for the town’s Gala Day, something which was much appreciated by the locals. “Our immediate plans now include recording music for Christmas Eve,” says band chairman Neal Wade.  

“Longer term, we are beginning to prepare and give serious thought to what our priorities should be once restrictions are lifted.”

He added: “We hope you enjoy this recording of Winter Wonderland and we wish everyone all the best for Christmas and the New Year.”
