Coalburn cap their year with virtual concert

Tune in to the Coalburn Brass Band family's virtual Christmas concert which is being live-streamed on the band’s Facebook and YouTube pages from 7pm on Sunday.

Coalburn are also promoting Gareth Bowman and Keven Anderson's nominations for the BrassFestUK’s bandsperson of the year, which provides a chance for people in the banding world to say thank you to someone who goes above and beyond.

This year has been a very testing year for so many reasons and a lot of people have really stepped up to help keep players motivated and included in some great projects.

Musical director Gareth is being nominated for being the driving force behind keeping the family of bands at Coalburn rehearsing and performing together virtually.

Keven is the principal percussionist at Lochgelly Band. He is being nominated for building up his skills in remote recording to the point where he put together the band’s winning second section performance at the Cory online contest.
