Mentors prepare for this weekend’s Youth Solo and Ensemble Festival qualifying events

The mentors for this weekend’s Scottish Youth Solo and Ensemble Festival qualifiers have been named as Jamie McVicar and Sandy Coffin for entries from the Fife, East, Northern Counties and South West Scotland associations and Chic Keenan and Craig Anderson for the Borders and West of Scotland areas.

They have been reviewing video recordings of the solos and the selected finalists will be confirmed on the day that their regional competition is aired on the SBBA YouTube channel and Facebook page.

The regional events will be broadcast on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 February, starting at 2pm. The YouTube links are https://youtu.be/yVpZc1a4iZE and https://youtu.be/RgZATfyNPno respectively.

There will be three age categories: 12 & under, 16 & under and 21 & under. Four qualifiers from each association in each of these three age categories will progress to the final to be broadcast on Saturday 13 March.
