Peebles Burgh is on the look-out for a new MD

Peebles Burgh Silver Band is inviting applications for the position of musical director / conductor.

The 4th section band, which was established in 1834, performs regularly throughout the year playing at local marching engagements, indoor and outdoor concerts and in competitions.

Rehearsals currently take place twice weekly in its band hall in Peebles High Street on Monday and Thursday evenings from 7.15 pm to 9.15 pm.

The successful candidate will be expected to commence rehearsals in early January and work towards the band’s aim of gaining promotion to the 3rd section at the 2022 Scottish Championships. It is anticipated that the appointment is reviewed at that time.
