Fancy developing your playing skills in a non-competitive environment?
Thursday 25 August 2022Bathgate Foundry Band is offering a chance for novice players to develop their musical skills alongside more experienced brass instrumentalists in a non-competitive environment.
The West Lothian-based community brass band is part of the Bathgate Band family.
“We are offering brass musicians of all abilities and in all areas of the band who wish to advance an opportunity to play with us on a Tuesday evening from 6.30 to 8.00 in a friendly non-competitive environment,” said Derek Brown, president of the Bathgate youth development bands.
“The aim of the band is to create a platform for seasoned musicians to sit alongside less experienced players, helping them to develop, as well as enabling them to perform in three or four community events throughout the year.”
He added: “The Foundry Band is supported by musicians from Bathgate Band who regularly drop in and help out at rehearsals and performances.”
