Reminder of closing date for Scottish Challenge entries

This is a reminder for lower section bands that the closing date for the Band Supplies Scottish Challenge contest is on 1 October 2022.

The event is part of the Scottish Festival of Brass which returns in November as a twin-weekend event after being compressed into a single weekend last year for logistical reasons during Covid.

The Scottish Challenge (for bands in Sections 1-4) which will take place on Saturday 12 November and the Scottish Open, supported by Besson (for Championship bands), is two weeks later on Saturday 26 November.

The two contests will be held in Perth Concert Hall and test pieces for both events will be own choice this year.

All brass and percussion youth bands in Scotland are invited to enter the Scottish Youth Championships which will take place in-person for the first time in three years in Perth Concert Hall on Saturday and Sunday, 26 and 27 November.
