Resident musical director vacancy at Johnstone Band

Johnstone Band has a vacancy for a resident musical director/conductor or conducting team.

Based in Johnstone, Renfrewshire, the band has been playing since 1834 and is one of the oldest brass bands still playing in Scotland.

The ambitious and hardworking team is looking for the best-fit musical director/conductor team to take the band forward into 2023. The Championship Section band rehearses on Sundays and Tuesdays 7.30–9.30pm.

Johnstone is currently working to fulfil contest and concert commitments, including the Wychavon Festival of Brass and the Scottish Open.
