2025 grading tables published following Scottish Championships results
Sunday 17 March 2024The band grading tables which will take effect from 1 January 2025 have been published in the wake of the Scottish Championships.
The grading tables, released by the Scottish Brass Band Association, reveal that the cooperation band and Whitburn share the top spot in the Championship Section following their qualifications for invitations to the National finals in the Royal Albert Hall in October.
In the First Section, The Kirkintilloch Band and Bo’ness & Carriden are both promoted after their first and third spots in the Scottish Championships. Both Kirkie and Granite City Brass will get an invitation to the National finals in Cheltenham in September.
It’s Newmains & District and Clackmannan District, after their first and third Championships placings, who will be moving up out of the Second Section. Newmains will be joined by Broxburn & Livingston in being asked to travel to Cheltenham.
In the Third Section, Croy Silver will be stepping up along with Perthshire Brass following their top and runner-up places to qualify for invitations to the National Finals.
Bon-Accord B Band and Buckhaven & Methil Miners are promoted from the Fourth Section, after their first and second places, as well as being invited to Cheltenham.
