Great day of entertainment lined up at Fife Brass Band Festival
Thursday 25 April 2024Visitors to Saturday’s Fife Brass Band Festival are in for a great day of entertainment. Sixteen bands will be taking to the stage in the Carnegie Hall, Dunfermline.
The contest, which starts at 9.30am, will see each band will play an own-choice entertainment programme of up to 20 minutes, which must include a solo item.
Coalburn Bronze Band will play a short concert while the results, expected 6.30-6.45pm, are prepared.
Tickets £10/£6 will be available on the day and valid for the duration of the contest.
The adjudicator will be Helen Douthwaite-Teasdale, entertainment judges Madelaine Baker and Jill Gillespie, with compere Susan Chown.
Bathgate, Bo'ness & Carriden, Buckhaven & Methil Miners, Campbeltown Brass, Clackmannan District, Cooperation, Dunfermline City, Dysart Colliery Silver, Kirkintilloch, Lochgelly, Mactaggart Scott Loanhead, Newmilns & Galston, Perthshire Brass, Tullis Russell Mills, Whitburn and Whitburn Heartlands.
