Life membership for Clackmannan’s Shona Caldwell

Congratulations to Shona Caldwell of Clackmannan District Band on receiving the Scottish Brass Band Association life membership medal for over 40 years service to brass banding.

Shona, who is pictured receiving her award from long-time friend and Clackmannan president Debbie Ross, started learning the cornet in 1982 and played with the Alloa Academy brass band. She progressed to the youth bands of Clackmannan District and Alloa Burgh.

As a member of Clackmannan District she has played cornet, tenor horn, baritone and now euphonium within the Ensemble Group.

Shona has been involved in the Clackmannan organisation and its committee for many years and most recently has held the post of treasurer.
