Adjudicators announced for Scottish Festival senior contests

The adjudicators for the two senior events in this year’s Scottish Festival of Brass, to be held over two weekends in the Perth Concert Hall in November, have been announced.

Entries are now open for the Band Supplies Scottish Challenge contest which will take place on Saturday 16 November and the Scottish Open, supported by Besson, a week later.

The Scottish Challenge event, which offers a first prize of £300, is open to bands in Sections 1-4 who will have their own choice of test piece. There will be a split draw with the contest starting at 9.30am. Adjudication will be by Brett Baker and Alan Widdop.

Entry forms can be downloaded here or are available from contest controller Peter Fraser at fraserp3@virginmedia.com Closing date for applications is 1 October.

The Scottish Open, which will also be an own-choice contest with a first prize of £1250, will be adjudicated by Owen Farr and Christopher Bond. Interested bands should get their applications in as soon as practicable. The entry deadline is Monday 1 July.
