Whitburn Heartlands is seeking a new conductor

Whitburn Heartlands is on the look-out for a new conductor to lead the band in the second half of the 2024 season and beyond.

The Fourth Section band rehearses once a week – on Monday evenings between 7.30 pm and 9.30 pm – with additional rehearsals on Thursdays as required at the Whitburn Band Hall in Whitburn.

Heartlands has a healthy mixed membership, with many having progressed from the youth development band, joined around the stands by more experienced players.

Whitburn Heartlands plays a strong role in the development of young players from the surrounding area to encourage them to further their brass band interest and to help them progress on to higher section bands.

The band is seeking an enthusiastic conductor who can prepare an enjoyable and entertaining programme for both concerts and contests and help to encourage the continued development of all its band members.
