NYBBS principal players announced

The principal players for two of the bands at this week’s National Youth Brass Band of Scotland (NYBBS) summer course in Strathallan have been announced.

The Senior band players leading their respective sections are:

Soprano: Luke Parkhill

Cornet: Ruaridh Prentice

Flugel: Rona Campbell

Horn: Andrew McMillan

Solo Trombone: Anna Biggart

Bass Trombone: Aileen Orr

Baritone: Charlie Boax

Euphonium: Angus Ritchie

Eb Bass: Owen Campbell

BBb Bass: Euan Court

Percussion: Louise Andrews

The Senior band musical director is Ian Porthouse and the course tutors are Anna Hughes / Leanne Porthouse (cornets); Arfon Owen (horns); Sion Rhys Jones (baritones / euphoniums); Ryan Richards (trombones); Ross Knight (basses); Gareth Hand (percussion).

The Reserve band principal players are:

Soprano: Nathanael Ramsay

Cornet: Charlie Colville

Flugel: Rose Cavanagh

Horn: Izzi Stirling

Solo Trombone: Iris Dean

Bass Trombone: David Bone

Baritone: Annie Watson

Euphonium: James Grassick

Bass: Libby Hamilton

Percussion: Ellis McCrae

The Reserve band musical director is John Boax and the course tutors are Stephanie Kennedy / Phillippa MacDougall (cornets); Gareth Bowman (horns); Chris Shanks (baritones / euphoniums / basses); Charlie Farren (trombones); Damian Martin (percussion).
