Line-up announced for Borders Entertainment Contest

Fourteen bands are preparing to take to the stage at this year’s Borders Entertainment Contest.

The draw for the order of play at the event – on Saturday 2 November at the Memorial Hall in Innerleithen – will be announced on the day. The contest is hosted by St Ronan’s Silver Band and the first band on stage will be at 11am.

Adjudicators for the day will be Sheona Wade and Anne Crookston. Prizes will be presented for:

• 1st Prize Trophy and cash
• Most Entertaining Band Trophy and cash
• 1st in Section 2 Trophy and cash
• 1st in Section 3 Trophy and cash
• 1st in Section 4 Trophy and cash
• Best Soloist
• Best Instrumentalist
• Best Bass Section
• Best Percussion Section
• Deportment

Admission on the day of the contest is £5 for adults. Children are free.
