Trinity College London/SBBA exam centre now open for entries
Tuesday 12 November 2024The Scottish Brass Band Association (SBBA) is pleased to announce that entries are now invited for its first round of Trinity College London (TCL) music grade exams.
SBBA acquired its status as a TCL exam centre earlier this year. The examination date will be mid-late January, most likely Wednesday 23 January, subject to confirmation.
A piano accompanist will be provided at no extra cost, including a rehearsal before the exam day for any person associated with a brass band in Scotland. Candidates are also welcome to bring their own accompanist.
Furthermore, candidates may use recorded accompaniments/backing tracks in place of a live accompanist at Initial – Grade 8.
Eventually SBBA plans to provide additional Trinity exam opportunities at other locations and times in the future.
