New Year message from SBBA president

Dear brass band families and friends,

As we get ready to say goodbye to 2024, I just wanted to take the opportunity to offer my sincerest thanks to all of our players, organisers and supporters along with key figures in our local, regional and national brass band movement.

Music and culture is something that is very special and precious: bringing much pleasure and making many positive connections that we must ensure it are preserved for years to come.

Without you all we would not be able to reflect with pride on our movement’s achievements over this past year.

Thank you for helping to support and progress the work of the brass band movement here in Scotland and I look forward to the many opportunities and successes that 2025 will bring especially as SBBA marks a very special milestone - its 130th year.

I wish you all and your families peace and happiness this festive season and a very healthy and prosperous New Year.
